About this lot
De Volkswagen Kever, oorspronkelijk bekend als de "Volkswagen Type 1," werd in de jaren ‘30 ontworpen door Ferdinand Porsche op verzoek van Adolf Hitler, die een betaalbare, massaal geproduceerde auto voor het Duitse volk wilde. De Kever kreeg wereldwijde populariteit vanwege zijn unieke, compacte ontwerp, betrouwbaarheid en betaalbaarheid.
Door de decennia heen werd de Kever een van de best verkochte auto's in de geschiedenis, met meer dan 21 miljoen exemplaren geproduceerd tegen de tijd dat de productie in 2003 eindigde. Het iconische uiterlijk en de culturele betekenis hebben ervoor gezorgd dat het een geliefde klassieker is die blijft staan als symbool van plezier, vrijheid en individualiteit.
Dit exemplaar is in 2014 gerestaureerd en opnieuw in de originele kleur gespoten. Het interieur is volledig origineel. Het betreft een origineel Belgisch geleverde auto.
De huidige eigenaar is de tweede eigenaar, het registratiebewijs van de eerste eigenaar is ook aanwezig.
