Hannes D'haese Mickey and Minie 80x80 cm. Unique specimen. Hannes D'Haese is the opposite of the classically trained artist. Inspired by Karel Appel, D'Haese started painting when he came into contact with the art and colours of the Dutchman. Like this famous Cobra artist who claimed to "just throw some paint on a canvas", D'Haese proclaims that he has never seen the inside of an art school; With which he emphasizes that you can't become an artist, but that being an artist has to be in you. His dreams, that's what it's all about for him, techniques and education are too restrictive.
