About this lot
Makka kabbes, also known as Angelim Vermelho, is a durable hardwood native to South America, specifically Brazil. The heartwood varies from yellow-orange-brown to dark brown and is clearly distinguished from the yellowish-white to gray sapwood. With a density of approximately 750 kg/m³ at 12% moisture content, the wood is sturdy and stable. Makka kabbes is highly resistant to fungi and insects, which makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, such as construction work, window frames, panelling and bridges. When processing, it is advisable to take into account the possible presence of a strong odor at the initial stage.
