About this lot
Beautiful lithograph in numerous colors on chiffoned paper by the Flemish artist Hubert De Vries. He studied at the academy of Antwerp with Isidoor Opsomer and Julien Creytens. He became acquainted with Constant Permeke, Gstaaf De Smet and Albert Servaes and evolved towards an expressionist design. His favorite themes are marines, figures, portraits, clowns and circuses.
