The abbreviation TS stands for Transverse (transversely mounted gearbox) and S for Spider (Targa roof construction). Because of its appearance, the 348 is also called the little brother of the Testarossa. As with the Testarossa, the 348 features the signature air intakes on the side of the body. This model is considered to be the last truly pure Ferrari without electronic aids. The model name 348 is derived from the 3.4 liter V8. With 300 hp, a top speed of 275 km/h is possible.
