About this lot
One of Dorrit Klomp's strengths is her vision of women as a symbol of the primal force in human beings. The mystical power of nature is her main theme. Which does not mean that "masculine" elements such as "aggression" are missing from her work. In Dorrit Klomp's view, the human primal force is a harmonious combination of aggression and softness, of intellect and intuition. Her work, pastels and oil paintings, refers to individual development as a woman and artist. She also expresses the growth from silly child to wise old woman and the evolution of women from mythical times to the present day in her work. An independently developed egg tempera technique provides the transparency that makes her art so striking. All of Dorrit Klomp's work has a powerful and mystical aura. A number of Dorrit Klomp's works have already been included in a museum in the Netherlands. Dorrit is also active abroad, including in France, Germany, Curaçao, Luxembourg and Italy. More and more private and corporate collectors are giving her work the recognition it deserves.
