About this lot

Trojan Mini-Motor - MK3 - Auxiliary engine. - Mini-Motor is an Italian brand of 50cc auxiliary engines that started in 1946 but were also made under license in England by Trojan. Originally, the Mini-Motor was created by Vincenti Piatti to drive lathes, but he immediately saw the potential to build it on bicycles. The engine was above the rear wheel and drove it by a roller. Here nicely built on a Swiss bike from 1951. This MK3 model was made from 1951-1953.
